Packaging Engineer

The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing packaging solutions to ensure product protection, sustainability, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in packaging design, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for innovation and problem-solving.

We are looking for a highly motivated and reliable Packaging Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel at developing creative solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing packaging projects from concept to implementation. The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including material selection, prototype development, and performance testing.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop packaging solutions that meet product protection and branding requirements
• Conduct testing to ensure packaging meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Optimize packaging designs for sustainability, cost efficiency, and ease of production
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to align packaging with business goals
• Source and evaluate packaging materials and suppliers
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and specifications
• Analyze and address packaging performance issues and implement improvements
• Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in packaging design or engineering
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., CAD) and familiarity with packaging testing methods
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging practices and materials
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
• Physical ability to conduct tests and lift up to 50 pounds if necessary
